You should be conservative sometimes and demonstrate aggressiveness too. Sticking to a 100 percent conservative strategy does not set you up to win. First of all, it is rare for any poker player to get several premium hands in one session. These hands tend to be few and far between. If you wait for them, you’ll rarely get to play, and your opponents will recognize that you have a big hand so you won’t get any betting action. Your big hands will only win small pots. Playing a tight conservative game makes you too predictable.

Aggressiveness on the other hand makes you unpredictable. Choose selective situations to be aggressive – such as raising from the button or a big blind. Make the other players sit up and pay attention. You must instill some fear into your opponents in order to wield any power at the table.

You can choose to stick to tight play most of the time, but when if you do, then interject some loose aggressiveness to keep your opponents on guard. Look out for this when you play poker online.

I was playing a Sit and Go online poker late at night and was faced with some bizarre behavior.

The poker game was going according to schedule. It was a 9-handed sit and go and 2 people had been knocked out already. 3 places pay. So, the blinds are now 50/100 and I decide to crank it up a notch. I raise in early position to 300 (holding QJ). I get one caller and the flop comes q,10,5 rainbow. I auto-shove my 1100 in. I have top pair, if I bet 400 or 500 and get raised I probably will not fold because then I would only have about 6 big blinds. So, I decide to make the play and see if it works. My opponent has less chips than me, about 700. He types in, “I don’t normally do this, but I’m tired, so…” and he calls my all in. He shows A,J. He’s calling for a gut shot straight draw, hoping for the king. He also has 3 aces in the deck that can help him out, but most likely this is not why he’s calling. He knows he’s behind, and since I raised preflop he probably puts me on AQ and would not even be counting his aces as outs.

The turn comes his K for a gut-shot and now I have only 3 aces for chop outs and they do not come. I’m pretty crippled now with about 400 chips. I say something like, “You don’t have to be an idiot if you’re tired, just stop playing and go to bed.”

Now this guy, who has a picture of his cat as an avatar, starts talking. He’s apparently much more awake now. He tells me that his motivation for staying up is to stick around long enough to see me lose. I’m laughing. I know this guy is just a bad player and he really wanted to call for his gut-shot and he’s making up a bunch of crap like being tired to justify his lack of patience and bumbling poker play.

I shove on a few blinds and get up to about 900. In late position I get A,3 off suit. My feline friend has limped in the pot for 150 and I go all in. He types in, “Only because it’s you,” and calls with 8,7. He hits a 7 and I lose my 60/40 and get knocked out. I lost to a player who knowledgeably played badly and had to make excuses for himself. Then he spite called me and beat me again. Both times I was ahead statistically. Feels great being right.

Gluten is responsible for the strength, texture, and structure of bread. It is a substance that contains proteins, which is what makes the bread complete. Without gluten, bread won’t be able to stand on its own. This bread wonder is found in wheat flour.

Cake flours have only 8% protein content while all-purpose flour has a slightly higher protein content ranging from 8 to 10%. Bread flour is the best choice because it contains at least 12-14% of protein. You may also choose to use commercial wheat gluten to bring up the protein content of your flour especially when baking rye, oat, or wheat bread.

Poker would be such an easy game if only you knew what was going on in the minds of the other players when they look at their cards. Being able to read a player’s body language is one way to do this. But why not take a more proactive approach and manipulate them into thinking what you want them to think. Ideally, you should hypnotize each of your opponents prior to the game.
