Two companies, ESPN and Discovery, have announced that they will begin offering programming in 3D as soon as this summer. It seems as though the Dish Network and others in the broadcast industry have decided that 3D will be this year’s big push.

ESPN 3D Coming in June! ESPN’s 3-D venture, called ESPN3D, is technically the world’s first 3-D network, as it was announced before Discovery’s network. The network will launch on June 11 with the first 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer match as South Africa takes on Mexico. Additional programming will include more than 85 live 3-D events throughout the network’s first year of service.

ESPN 3D will also include up to 25 2010 FIFA World Cup matches, coverage of the Summer X Games, and college basketball. College football in 3-D will dominate the fall, and even the BCS National Championship will be broadcast in 3-D on January, 10, 2011. Sony will be the exclusive sponsor of the new station, and is currently working with the PGA Tour to produce golf programming in 3D later this year.

The network’s launch comes after ESPN has spent years testing technology. Most recently, it tested the 3D equipment during the USC vs. OSU college football game, broadcasting the game to theaters around the nation. According to ESPN, 3D is the future of sports programming.

Some people want to debunk it as utter hogwash while others embrace it as a legitimate way to look at things that happen in everyday lives depending on various factors. In the defining sense astrology is the teaching of the stars and many people will tell you that it led to people studying astronomy even more. In today’s world though astrology is the study of the position of the sun, moon, and planets in relation to events and how they unfold in someone’s life. Probability is one of the main things that astrologers use to make a forecast and they rely on it very heavily. Just as we do when we make predictions about the weather or anything else in our everyday lives, In today’s world we seem to love to know the unknown and this fascination has us wondering is this stuff fact or fiction.

As a kid you would look up to the stars and just sit at utter amazement, this is what many people think about astrology it’s amazing while others have an not so glowing review of it. I don’t think there really are too many people who can say they have never looked at their horoscope. This tells me that there is some demand for it or it wouldn’t be here. It’s a complex debate that seems to get bigger every year.

According to many people astrology is a basic roadmap of your lives and how they may turn out. Others believe it’s just something to get people to believe something that just aren’t true, one thing is for sure both sides have valid points and neither side wants to budge on the point. Let’s take both sides of the issue first. The nonbeliever say it’s used to foster a false hope in something that isn’t going to happen and it lets people down when things just don’t come true. Money also plays an issue into this as million’s dollars are spent on astrology products yearly and many people are obviously offended by that others aren’t. Then we have the believers who will cite you case after case of predictions that have come true. Readings that have been right on every week or month, so we are basically backed at square one aren’t we. Or are we?

Because the Verizon FIOS Internet was already there, it was no problem for the installer to hook it up to the TV. He was able to utilize the Coax splitter I already had in place, splitting the wire leading to the router. The coax cable laid outside, gets split as they enter your house, spread to all your rooms and in the process a downstream cable gets into the Coax connector of Verizon Internet Router. From that point the router communicated TCP/IP over RJ-45 and provides the house, but this is also used to assign IP addresses to the DVR over coax. A DVR is known as a Digital Video Recorder. It allows you to record programs to a hard disk for viewing later. That is also included with the FIOS package.

This DVR has a storage capacity of 17 viewing hours in HD, or 60 in SD broadcast (Similar Defintion) or whichever combination of options you choose. Like with the majority of DVR devices, it is possible to adjust every recording as “protected”. It is not deleted automatically. or have to line up endlessly waiting with the final x recordings. You can choose all shows to include repeats, or only new shows.

The price for core package is 43$ a month. For this you get several DVR options ranging from standard HD, standard DVR and HD DVR.
